It was not an April Fool's joke when The Coal Yard Restaurant and Lounge went smoke-free Wednesday. Smoking is permitted on the deck. I still maintain that it is wrong for any government to force businesses to ban smoking and I will make sure the city council gets a fight if they ever decide to pursue a smoking ban that interferes with private property rights.
