Information on Sale of The Coal Yard

My realtor told me that when you go public with the sale of a restaurant, people perceive the restaurant as doing poorly.  If any of you have been in the The Coal Yard in the last few years, you know that is definitely not the case here, and if any of you know me at all, you know I don't follow conventional thought patterns very well so I am very excited to publicly announce that The Coal Yard is officially for sale at this point in time.  It's always been unofficially for sale, as technically, everything is for sale...for the right price :)  Anyway, if anyone has an extra $325,000 lying around, and would like the opportunity to own a piece of history and a local institution that has been around for nearly 30 years as a restaurant and over 115 years as a miscellany of other businesses, please let me know.

The Coal Yard is 3000 sq ft of full-service restaurant and bar.  The parking lot is the largest in York's historic (or hysteric) downtown, holding 100+cars.  Opportunities for expansion include catering, delivery, Saturday lunch sales and Sunday sales.  The seating capacity is 100 inside and 20+ on the 24x24 covered deck out front.  The deck was built in 2007 and covered in 2009.  There is a full PA system in a 6x6 stage by the bar for bands  The bathrooms were renovated in 2009.  There is also a full basement that could be utilized with extensive renovations.  Tax returns for the last 3 years as well as access to this year's profit and loss statement for qualified buyers.  Price is negotiable for cash buyer.

There may (or may not) be some curiosity about what I will go and do after this since outside of The Coal Yard, my "Plan B"  is my English degree (which anything related to would not pay near as well as this place has).  The truth is, I'm not sure yet but I still have some wild oats and wild hairs to be dealt with which may be calmed by some summer work out West waiting tables and writing.  I have applied to a number of places and am waiting to hear back from them.  I have gotten an acceptance letter from Old Faithful Snow Lodge for a server position so far.  However it goes, I won't be leaving York until late spring, or until The Coal Yard is under new ownership, and I will definitely be coming back because this is HOME.  CHEERS!
